Wildlife Exclusion

Knockout Pest Control helps address wildlife access with inspections, suitable exclusion methods and repairs to agreed openings around your building.

Finding the Access Behind the Activity

Helping Identify Where Wildlife Gets Inside

  • Inspect Accessible Building Openings
We assess relevant roof edges, vents, soffits and service openings for wildlife evidence and possible entry routes.

  • Understand Occupancy and Building Access
We check signs of occupancy and possible dependent young, while considering access arrangements for shared or managed properties.

Addressing Entry at the Source

Practical Exclusion for Your Property

  • Use Suitable Exclusion Methods
We select methods based on the animal, occupancy and site findings. One-way doors may be used where appropriate to allow exit while restricting return access.

  • Seal and Reinforce Agreed Openings
We repair specified gaps and holes and reinforce vulnerable access points within the approved scope. Further building repairs are discussed separately.

Careful Exclusion & Entry Repairs

Addressing Active Access Before Securing Openings

"If you live in Burnaby and you have a pest problem look no further than Knockout Pest Control. Ryan has helped me for over 10 years with everything from ants to raccoons and he knows his stuff.

He is very thorough. At one house I had squirrels in my attic and while the previous owner had another company block most of the entry points they missed some and Ryan solved the problem and installed a one way door so the squirrels could not get back in once they left.

The previous owner used poison and that left a few dead carcasses in the attic. As import as being good is, just as import is being honest. Ryan will only recommend and do what is needed. If there is another trade like a roofer that can fix a problem better than him, he will recommend that - this is being honest and recommending to customers what is best for them. I could not recommend Knockout Pest Control more!"

Wildlife Exclusion FAQs

1. What does wildlife exclusion include?

It can include assessing wildlife entry, using suitable exclusion methods and securing specified openings. Your proposal explains the exact locations and work included.

2. Can you assess a condo, strata or commercial building?

Yes. We can discuss wildlife concerns affecting these properties. Inspection and work depend on suitable access, necessary permissions and coordination with building management.

3. What if the suspected entry point is high above ground?

We assess the location and available access before confirming the work. Additional access equipment or separate arrangements may be needed and will be discussed in the proposal.

4. Can you help if I hear noises but cannot see an animal?

Yes. Tell us where and when the noises occur. We assess accessible relevant areas for evidence before recommending exclusion or repairs.

5. Should maintenance staff seal the opening immediately?

Arrange an assessment before closing a suspected active entry point. Occupancy needs to be checked so animals are not trapped inside or separated from dependent young.

6. Are one-way doors suitable for every situation?

No. Suitability depends on the animal, entry location and occupancy findings. We explain whether a one-way door or another approach is appropriate.

7. What happens if there are young animals inside?

Their presence affects the timing and method of exclusion. We assess the situation before recommending exit devices or final closure.

8. Does the service include cleanup and building repairs?

Your quote specifies the entry point repairs included. Cleanup, restoration and larger building repairs are separate unless expressly included in the proposal.

9. What if wildlife activity continues after the work?

Contact us with the location and details. We review the concern and explain any further assessment or work available under your service terms.

10. How do I arrange a wildlife exclusion quote?

Complete the booking form or request a wildlife assessment. Share the property address, reported activity and any building access requirements so we can discuss the next steps.
